Global Head Rabo Corporate Investments

Francis joined Rabo Corporate Investments in November 2019. Francis spend the early years of her career in international M&A for KPN Telecom, before setting up a global customer care company on behalf of KLM. She joined Private Equity firm NPM Capital in 2000, where she could leverage her business experience as well as her financial expertise in investing in medium to large sized (family owned) companies.

She decided to switch her career in 2009 to her other passion, art, in working as an exhibitions curator and writing a book about Michiel van Musscher, an unknown portrait painter in the Dutch Golden Age. After that she realised, she missed the impact and the ambition of the investments and she became responsible for setting up and managing early and later stage venture capital funds for InnovationQuarter until November 2019.

Francis choice for the VC/PE world results from a passion for innovation and a desire to make an impact in the world. She is one of the founders of Fundright, a VC initiative to increase diversity in investment funds and their portfolio companies. She is also board member of several funds and at Matrix/Science Park Amsterdam.
Francis has a graduate degree in Business economics from the VU Amsterdam, and a bachelor’s degree in Art history from the University of Amsterdam.

Richard joined Rabo Corporate Investments in 2010 and is today responsible for Rabo Ventures. Previously Richard was self-employed in manufacturing and retail businesses. Prior to that he worked with ANZ Bank as a financial markets trader. Richard serves on the boards as a Director or Observer of current portfolio companies Biolumic, Vence, Telesense, 30Mhz, Bird Control Group. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Bristol and is ACCA qualified.

Rogier has been working for RCI since July 2018. He is currently heading Rabo Growth Capital and as such focuses both on scale-up companies and mature companies that require (flexible) capital to realize their growth and innovation ambitions. In combining his extensive experience in both growth financing and structured capital solutions, Rogier believes in tailoring each investment to the needs of the specific investment case. He also firmly believes in sharing passion, exchanging insights and taking a trusted, hands-on approach. In short, partnering up to propel ambitious growth strategies togehter.

After working with the University of Tilburg, Rogier joined Rabobank in 2001. Holding nearly 20 years of experience in banking and finance, Rogier fulfilled various roles. In the beginning of his career he structured, executed and advised on corporate finance transactions as senior legal counsel. Later on, he headed Rabobank’s structured finance department in the Netherlands in which role he was responsible for both structured as well as subordinated finance solutions for large corporate, mid-market and scale-up clients.

Rogier graduated in civil law from the University of Tilburg and holds a PhD on the universal structure of property law.

Yvonne joined the RCI team in September 2018 and is responsible for Co-Investments. Yvonne is focused on Co-Investing alongside professional partners, supporting companies active in F&A chains globally and successful companies in the Netherlands. Prior to RCI, Yvonne gained 12 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), bringing relevant deal experience to efficiently execute co-investment processes as well as an extensive network to bring relevant (sector-related) value to portfolio companies and partners. From 2011-2018, she worked at Rabobank M&A where she led a variety of F&A transactions and was also responsible for Dairy M&A coverage. Prior to that, she worked at the M&A team of ING in London (2006-2010). Yvonne has a Master’s degree in International Business (Finance track) from the University of Maastricht and passed all levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

Jan has been working for RCI since May 2018. He mainly focuses on Dutch companies that are in need of growth financing.
Jan has extensive experience with family companies. This know-how enables him to be the ideal interlocutor to implement a defined growth strategy together with management.

In 2010 Jan started at the M&A department at Rabobank. He mainly executed mid-market transactions in the General Industries segment. Previously, Jan worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland (from 2009) and at ABN AMRO.
In 1992 he started his career at ABN AMRO, where he has been active since 1996 in the M&A department.

Jan graduated in civil and business law from the University of Leiden.

Thijs has been working at RCI since June 2015. He focusses on equity participations and is responsible for 5 portfolio companies. He fulfils an active role as a sparring partner for management and adds value through his personal network and experience in supporting growth companies. Thijs has been working for Rabobank since 2009, where he has been active for 6 years as an advisor for companies at events such as refinancing, acquisitions and capital market transactions. Before that, Thijs worked for ABN AMRO for 10 years with positions within M&A, acquisition financing and commodity financing (last in Chicago). Thijs graduated in financial economics at VU University Amsterdam.

Wouter van der Geest joined Rabobank in 2019, focusing on global Funds and Co-Investments in the Food & Agri sector as well as local investments in the Netherlands across all sectors. Before joining Rabobank he was a Senior Investment Manager at PGGM Private Equity, where he was responsible for the Fund and Co-Investment coverage in Asia as well as leading Co-Investments in the healthcare sector globally. Before PGGM he worked at KPMG Corporate Finance for eight years. Wouter holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in econometrics from the Vrije Universiteit in the Netherlands.

Pieter has been working for RCI since January 2013. He started his career with Rabobank in 2009 at Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to joining Rabobank, Pieter completed a traineeship with ING and worked in ING Corporate Finance. He started his career at Triple Value (Steward Requeen) Strategy Consultants and CRS Management. Pieter studied Business Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Joost has worked for more than 20 years in the field of subordinated debt and equity participations. He has closed dozens of transactions with mid and large corporate enterprises in various sectors. He also has a broad experience with financing fast growing scale ups. Clients not only appreciate Joost’s professionalism, but also his ability to truly understand the issue at hand and to act as a valuable sparring partner.

Before Joost joined Rabobank in 2010, he worked for KPMG and ING Corporate Investments.

Dolf joined RCI in September 2013 whereby Dolf is involved in managing debt to equity positions on behalf of RCI as majority shareholder as well as equity positions in fast growing companies. Dolf is responsible for 4 portfolio companies. Before joining RCI, Dolf worked within Rabobank at FR&R focussing on restructurings and work-outs of distressed debt positions. Before joining Rabobank, Dolf worked as a lawyer in M&A, Finance and Restructurings at several (international) law firms in The Netherlands. Dolf holds a master's degree in Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam.

Matthijs has been working for RCI since October 2014, with a focus on Rabo Ventures since 2018. Mathijs started at Rabobank in Group Legal where he worked on several M&A and corporate projects within Rabobank Group. Roelant joined RCI in December 2015, where he focuses on ambitious Dutch companies that want to grow further. Prior thereto he was active in the fields of capital structuring and acquisition finance at Rabobank, where he was involved with various management and leveraged buy-outs as well as strategic acquisitions. Realising growth and improvements together with management teams is what drives Roelant. He started his career at Rabobank as a management trainee in 2006. Roelant studied Business Administration at the VU Amsterdam and Law at the University of Amsterdam.

Jorn has been working for RCI since Juni 2018. He focuses on Direct Investments and high risk financing solutions for Dutch SMEs and Scale-ups.
Before, Jorn worked in Structured Finance where he was involved in the structuring and origination of tailor-made financial solutions including subordinated debt, scale-up debt and cumprefs for Dutch mid and large corporates. Jorn started his career at Rabobank International in 2010 and has a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from University of Twente.

Bastiaan joined RCI in July 2018, having worked previously within debt capital markets, acquisition finance and structured finance within Rabobank. Bastiaan is focused on supporting fast growing disruptive companies (scale ups) with financing solutions that help them achieve their strategic ambitions, as he is convinced these companies can greatly help tackle key societal issues by their innovation power. Bastiaan graduated in business administration at the University of Groningen (RUG).

Bas has been working for RCI since March 2018 and has years of experience in corporate and investment banking. In his current role, he focuses on risk-bearing capital solutions for fast growing companies in the mid-market segment.
Bas joined Rabobank in 2012 as a credit analyst for the mid-market. In 2015 he moved to wholesale banking, specializing in Acquistion Finance and Structured Finance.
In 2006 he started his career at ING in corporate banking. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda.

She is driven to support the continued innovation and required transformation in both industries. Before joining Rabobank, she worked in strategy consulting, big data and food retail. This diverse and analytical background provides the foundation for a hands-on approach towards entrepreneurs and a well-founded holistic assessment of potential investments.

Malaya has joined RCI in August 2019, where he helps Dutch entrepreneurs reach their ambitious growth goals. Between his experiences as a small business owner, working in a start-up and being part of a global strategy consulting firm, he got to appreciate the venturous and open way of working of RCI when doing Commercial Due Diligence work for them. After having closely supported SME and midmarket companies as a management consultant, he now combines his business sense and inquisitiveness to help entrepreneurs reach their goals with RCI’s financial solutions. Malaya holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Delft.

Ilias has been working for RCI since March 2014. He focuses mainly on Private Equity fund investments.

Ilias started working for Rabobank in 2013 as a Management Trainee. Following his traineeship of one year, he started working as an analyst in the Private Equity team focusing on debt-to-equity swaps and the management of this turn-around portfolio. Since 2017 Ilias started focusing more on private equity fund investments both in Dutch (sector agnostic) and International (Food & Agri focus) funds.

Ilias graduated in Business Administration from the VU University Amsterdam.

Arjan is principally focused on working with young, fast growing scale-up companies and more mature mid-market companies.
With experience in debt, equity and hybrid solutions, Arjan is adept to structure tailored solutions for growth companies in whatever lifecycle phase they may be.

Arjan started his career as a management trainee at Rabobank, during which he worked for Global Client Solutions, the Financial Institutions Group and the Mergers & Acquisitions department. He followed his traineeship with a two year tenor at Global Client Solutions, the wholesale unit dedicated to structured and subordinated finance solutions. Since joining Rabo Corporate Investments he has been working on risk-bearing debt and equity transactions.

Arjan graduated with a double bachelor's degree, a double master's degree, and a post-grad in business, economics, international relations and diplomacy from Leiden University, the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Australian National University and the Clingendael Institute of International Relations. He currently reads for a degree in Laws at Queen Mary, University of London.

Tom started his career at Rabobank in 2011, based in London. He is focused on investing seed and growth equity in innovative and disruptive start-ups in food and agriculture across Western Europe and the US. Tom has experience in venture and corporate finance, deal structuring and executing M&A transactions in the US, Europe and Australasia.

Having worked in livestock and arable farming, Tom has an applied understanding of agriculture and previously founded and ran an ethical meat business. He is also an advisor to a number of UK agribusinesses.

Tom has a first class Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from the University of Exeter.

Daniëlla is active for Rabo Ventures. She has a genuine passion for enabling entrepreneurs to grow their companies and to contribute to the banking4food strategy of Rabobank.

Daniëlla joined Rabobank in March 2015 as a Corporate Management Trainee. Before joining Rabo Ventures, she was involved in creating and executing bespoke solutions for various corporate clients within the food & agri sector. Daniëlla has a long-standing involvement in innovation in the food and agri space, and co-founded an initiative to assist Kenyan dairy farmers leverage their own operational data to help them grow sustainably and to improve their access to finance. Daniëlla holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.

Jelle has been with RCI since April 2019. After internships at BoerCroon Corporate Finance and KPMG Transaction Services, he started his career as a trainee at Rabobank. After his traineeship he gained relevant experience within the Rabobank Acquisition Finance group where he worked on multiple national and international transactions. Jelle holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Groningen University. At RCI he is mainly active in analysing and executing new investment opportunities.

Willem has been working for RCI since July 2018. He mainly focuses on Dutch companies that are in need growth financing.
With his background (study mathematics and economics and experience in Venture Capital), Willem can thoroughly analyse companies and map (well-founded) possibilities to help companies grow.

In 2017, Willem started his career at Rabobank as Rabo Global Trainee. After gaining experience in Innovation and Acquisition Finance, Willem ultimately opted for Rabo Corporate Investments because he wishes to help companies realize their growth ambitions.

Willem holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics and politics from University College Utrecht and a master's degree in financial economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Rens joined RCI in October 2019 after completing the Rabo Global Traineeship. He is part of Rabo Ventures , where he can combine his background in finance and technology to fuel the growth of start-ups.

After gaining experience at the Digital Bank, Corporate Lending and Acquisition Finance, he is now able to pursue his passion for innovative companies in the food and agri space. With his social skills and result-driven mindset, he strives to support ambitious entrepreneurs in realizing their growth ambitions.

Jayme joined Rabo Corporate Investments in 2017 as Business Controller after working in complex valuation control functions for the desks of Equity and Commodity derivatives in Rabobank. 
Before his moving to the Netherlands in 2013 to follow a Master in International Finance at Amsterdam Business School/UvA Jayme had accumulated substantial experience working at Rabobank Brazil and Commerzbank in the fields of risk and controls. Jayme is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst since 2015, and is graduated in Accounting by University of Sao Paulo (BRA).

Ingrid has been employed by Rabobank since 1986, and has worked as an employee of credit management at Rabobank Amsterdam in the past few years. Diana has been working as a Senior Support Officer at RCI since January 2019. The booking and subsequent management of the debt portfolio is one of her focus areas. Diana has been working at Rabobank Nederland since 1986 and also has a lot of experience as portfolio manager at Project Finance and Acquisition Finance. In addition, she has worked via Rabo Connect as (internal) account manager at various affiliated banks.
Diana studied Economics & Management at the Hogeschool in Utrecht.

Margreet joined Rabo Corporate Investments in August 2017 as Senior Office Manager. She assists the Global Head and is secretary of the Investment Committee.

She started at Rabobank as Executive Assistant in 2013 after a long period living abroad and working for the Dutch Embassy in London and Brussels in several positions.

Margreet graduated in business law from the University of Leiden and started her career in 1987 when she joined the Ministry of Finance as policy officer.

Serap joined Rabo Corporate Investments in June 2019 as a Business and Project Support Officer. She assists the Head of Rabo Growth Capital and supports the Rabo Growth Capital team in project support and organizing several events. She started her Rabobank career in 2013 at IT Systems.
